We are so excited about the upcoming Christmas Tree Tour. We are thankful for everyone’s help making last year’s fundraising a success! A Huge THANK YOU to Lillians of Alexandria! Your collection of purses was amazing! We so appreciate all of your help Kelli Jo! We loved many of the handbags that you and your clients shared with us! Thought I would show you a quick picture of a beautiful “like new” Brighton Savannah Handbag! This is beautiful (and retired so more valuable!).  The online price is $139.00.

(posted by Kris)   So I was with a friend on Saturday morning, less than a day after I started sending emails to my friends about the Handbags Galore Garage Sale and I received a call on my cell phone from out of our area code. The person on the phone said, Hi My name is Diane and  you do not know who I am, but I received a forwarded email regarding your Relay for Life Handbag Garage Sale and I own a handbag store in Hudson, WI and I would like to donate 10 handbags to your sale.

WOW, I thought, that is so cool! I got chills just from her generosity.  She shared with me that her son plays baseball for St. John’s and that she was coming to Cold Spring in a few hours to watch her son play baseball. This still gives me more chills… We realized that her son was playing baseball on the field right next to where my son was playing baseball, at the same time on the same day we and we knew it had to be more than coincidence! I think she is an angel! 

Diane, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your amazing donation. You are making such a huge difference in our lives and helping us with our dream to cure cancer! We feel so blessed by you!

A little update for those of you who have followed this blog because of our MaryJane.  You might not know that MaryJane considered our mom to be her “twin” sister.  (which would be like Mutt and Jeff and I think that is why she just relished in telling everyone that they were twins from a different mother………ohh she would giggle!!!)  It saddens us that now we have to walk another cancer journey and so soon, but her “twin”, our mom, has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer and it is in her lymph nodes.   She has had a section of her colon removed along with the tumor and now we face 6 months of chemo and possible radiation.  We are certain that her future is strong and confident of a win this time.  I tell you this just to update you and to remind you of why we are so passionate about Relay, now even more than ever.  If you can help us make a big impact this year for the “twins”, we would be super delighted.  If you want to make a donation, you can email me at kgray@bloomstudio.us  or Kris at cherishdesigns@live.com   or if you want to be a part of our fight in any way, just let us know.   Prayers are always great too, thank you!!!   And thank you to all of you who have been such good friends to us, you know who you are!!!!
